A brand new year. All day long, I kept thinking, 1999 was TEN years ago.
Staggering.
And yesterday, as I got ready to go to our friends' house to ring in the New Year with them, I thought about what 2008 brought and what I wanted 2009 to bring.
Mostly, I feel the need to jump start my life. Light a fire under my ass, as they say in Texas. I'm not one for New Year's resolutions; I tend to be more goal-minded. I ask myself questions: what do I want to accomplish in 2009? What will be my focus? What are my intentions?
Intentions are the building blocks of magic.
I welcome 2009 and all its promise and opportunities.
