The day begins like most. I wake before the alarm and toss and turn, not ready to get up, not ready to leave sleep. I have to pee, but I procrastinate getting out of bed, finally lose that small conflict. I come back to bed for awhile, cuddle with Daniel. We both get up, finally, about twenty minutes after 8:00.
I'm not a morning person. I make my way downstairs in slippers and jammies. I go to the back door and look out at the new morning. I return to the kitchen, make Daniel's lunch. After I see him off, I go down to the basement, climb into the recliner to doze. My husband calls to let me know he's arrived at work safely. My little brother calls to chat.
These past few days, I'm feeling tired. Is it age? I wonder. My eating habits have drastically changed, and so has my activity level. And the weather has become hot, which always drains me. I worry a bit, let myself rest more. When I get up, I fix a small breakfast, oatmeal and this tea by Tazo.
My day is spent in those routine tasks. Washing dishes, putting away laundry, answering email, tidying up. Early afternoon, I start supper in the crock pot. I work on a couple scrapbook pages and organize some photos. I call my mom's cousin's wife and catch up with her. When I am on the treadmill, Dawn calls, and we make plans to go pick up our Stampin' Up! order from our demonstrator, Sharon.
My sweet Daniel waits for me to eat dinner, which turned out to be a very tasty crockpot chili. We eat and watch {iTwo and a Half Men}. After the second episode, we both get a hankering for coffee and head out to Starbucks.
We both bring our notebooks and do a little writing.

Daniel works on his novel and me on memoir writing practice. We spend a half hour, maybe a little more and return home to relax into the night.
