Thankful - Day 4

I am so very thankful on this election night that:

1. Barack Obama was elected the 44th President of these United States tonight.
2. as sometimes frustrated as I still get with the American government and its shenanigans, we still get to vote.

3. the crowd of people assembled in Grant Park in Chicago were all different races, all smiling, all elated, all united.
4. I'm married to a man who has inspired me to understand the government better than I did before.
5. I'm the daughter of a true patriot who taught me by example to love my country and never, ever take freedom for granted.
