Sometime during the night, the snow began to fall. Rumors of great snowfall began yesterday, and when I was out with friends last night, there was talk of school closings. When I got out of bed and looked outside, our neighborhood was a Winter wonderland.

Because of travel and other stress in my life, I have not felt very much in the holiday spirit lately.

Snow somehow helps restore that spirit. Even when I'm shoveling:

Joy, excitement, fun. All of the things that make this time of year feel like magick.

Ah, Winter...I bid you a hearty welcome.
