Being part Hungarian, I've always wondered if I have a bit of the gypsy in me since I tend to like to move around quite a bit. I've lived a lot of places, and I've visited a lot, too. I love travel. I love the process of traveling, the journey. Even while I dislike the whole experience of flying, I still get tickled by a wisp of excitement about going far away to another place where I can explore and discover.
Here's a list of the places I'd still like to go:
1. St. Petersburg, Florida, so I can show Daniel my hometown.
2. Seattle, Washington, because...well...there's so much to see and do, always so much happening there. (I imagine Daniel and I will live in the Pacific Northwest someday.) I'd like to drink coffee in the very first Starbucks and take a ferry trip to Victoria, British Columbia.
3. Paris, France. I promised Daniel that if he took me to Paris, I'd go up in the Eiffel Tower with him. Talk about much to see and do! I can't imagine not seeing Paris and the rest of France, too.
4. Ireland, all of it, any of it. I have Irish roots, and I've heard the whole country is just bursting with breathtaking beauty. Besides, let's just face it, visiting Ireland could be like one big drinking game. : )
5. New England, just about any town in any state, especially during Autumn.
6. New York, New York. Gotta see a city that legendary. I'm particularly intrigued with Ellis Island, and I'd like to see all the tourist attractions and maybe get to be in the audience of The Daily Show.
7. Hungary. I think it would be awesome to see where some of my ancestors came from.
8. Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Look at a map sometime. It looks like there's very little more than wilderness up there, a lot of natural beauty to bask in.
9. Alaska, especially if I can do a cruise and then one of those train trips through the big national park. Luscious.
10. Philadelphia, to visit all the American history sites.
There are probably dozens more places I'd like to go, but it's late, and I'm getting sleepy, ready to travel into my dreams.
