As many embellishments and rubber/clear stamps as I have, fish are missing from the (extensive) collection, and I really wanted to do something with fish since the pictures were of Livvie eating goldfish crackers, and I thought "Gone Fishin'" would be a cute title.
So, I did what any self-respecting scrapper would do: I made my own.
Take a look:
They are simple little fish made from patterned paper, adhered to cardstock to give it some heft. I drew the fish shape free-hand on chipboard and cut it out for a template. I love the result and how the page came together. Totally rocks to use older patterned paper and whittle down my stash of that.
My only complaint is that the scanner did a very poor job of capturing the colors, particularly the cardstock matte of the bottom right photo and the strips where I wrote the journaling. That green is as bright (or brighter!) as the brightest stripes on the patterned paper on the left side of the page.
Still. I dig this page and had a good time making it.
Three days to go, and LOAD will be over for 2009.
