Yesterday, my sweetheart came home with a surprise for me.
Aren't they gorgeous? These are the same kinds of flowers I had in my bridal bouquet for our our second wedding. Here, get a closer look:
Daniel wrote on the card that it has been a difficult week, which it definitely has for a variety of reasons, and that flowers help.
I agree with that. These flowers are so lovely. The pictures don't do them justice, and it cheered me to have them, cheered me even more that Daniel thought of me and wanted to bring home something to perk me up.
It helps a great deal to have someone like Daniel in my life who listens, lets me rant, lets me weep, lets me find my way. I'm so glad there's him. I'm such a lucky girl.
I'm so in love.
And on a different subject...
The latest issue of Midwest Living contains a feature on peaches, one of my favorite fruits, and one of my favorite things about Summer. There's a recipe in there for peach upside down cake, and I'm going to give it a go this weekend. I can almost taste it.
Mmmm...peaches...
