Corn Roast
September 02, 2008

We live near a cool little town called Farmington. On Saturday, we drove to the pavilion downtown where the Farmer's Market is held every week, and participated in the annual corn roast.

Oh, yum.

The theme this year was pirates, as in "buck-an-ear," because each piece of roasted corn goodness cost one dollar.

My Daniel does love a good pun.

The sun was bright, and though there was a nice little breeze, it was a hot August day. We both got one ear of corn, ate it mostly in the shade, though I did pose in the sun for Daniel to take this picture:

Afterwards, we headed to Starbucks for coffee and then into our day, our bellies full of tasty corn.
