Who knew I would like camping so much?

Our friends, Kevin and Amy, invited us to join them at Port Crescent State Park on the shores of Lake Huron for the weekend. I hadn't been camping in over twenty years, and Daniel hadn't camped since he was in the Cub Scouts.

We so enjoyed our two nights there.

Yesterday, I bravely donned a swimsuit and frolicked in the waves. For dinner, we roasted corn we bought at a local farmers' market over a fire. This afternoon, Amy and I walked a long time along the water's edge, talking, wading, watching the seagulls and dogs play in the water...

My skin is still warm from the sun's kisses.

Utter bliss. We'll be going camping again.
